Saint Francis Apizza - Hyde Park (Take Out Only Pizza)

I’ve gotta disagree with Dave on this one. St Francis (Cincinnat) is likely the second best pizza I’ve had, behind Sally’s New Haven) and ahead of Frank Pepe’s (Ne Haven). Maybe not true “New Haven Apizza” but as close I’ve found outside of New Haven ! VERY good pizza. Owner even brought it out to my car.

Fantastic. Great people who care about the perfection of pizza. Very humble guy who runs this place. The best in the area, definitely in the upper tier of pizza.

For me, it’s a great thin crispy crusted pizza, but perhaps my taste buds just aren’t as accustomed to the char taste.

Great pizza! My first New Haven style Pie, but it won’t be my last. Visiting Cinci from Denver. Went out of my way to try this spot. Did not disappoint.

Sauce: Amazing sauce. It’s a very savory sauce with amazing spice content. It’s super flavorful and it’s added in just the right amount that it adds flavor without being so much sauce that it’s falling out or sliding. Cheese. High quality cheese that you can tell is sourced from great places. As with most of their ingredients, they seem to take great interest in making sure that the ingredients are fresh. The complete lack of grease and great flavor reflects this. Crust: In New Haven fashion, the crust is crispy with amazing charring that adds a nice smoky flavor. I’ve never had a burnt pie here. The undercarriage is crispy with very little to no flop. Amazing Value: This pizza is not cheap but it is not overpriced. My girlfriend and I are willing to spend the extra money for this place because their pizza actually reflects the price. And to be honest, it’s not much more than other places, as this pie was about $18 for a large pizza. Overall: My favorite pizza place in Cincinnati, hands down.

Considering we are in Cincinnati, there are not a lot of great options. This is one of the best options, if not the best. If you want the crisp, this is your place. I recommend it regardless of what style you are looking for. The sauce definitely has a distinct taste that I really enjoyed. Another selling point is this pizza is amazing left over pizza when it’s cold/room temp. Just do yourself a favor and check it out.

New Haven Pizza in Cinci!

Might be the best pizza I've had in Cincinnati. No gimmicks, just good crust sauce and cheese

Easily the best pizza I’ve had in Cincinnati. Great crust and good sauce/cheese ratio.

My first time in Cincinnati for the Eagles game tomorrow, and this place is easily the best reviewed in the city. I see exactly why, it was for sure the best pizza I’ve had in Ohio in my five years of reviewing pizza. The cheese tasted very good and almost had a creamy taste to it. The sauce didn’t stand out at first, but the more I ate the more I appreciated its subtle flavor. The crust was a tad over cooked and dry, but the olive oil drizzled on top gave it a little garlicky taste which was a nice touch. I ate the entire thing in my car and it was super easy to eat while driving. Cincinnati has been great so far because of this pizza and great riverfront views. Hopefully the Eagles can deliver a W tomorrow like this pizza did.

This pizza is worth a trip and they earned the Apizza in their name. Zero flop on this New Haven style pizza I had. 100% top 3 in Cincinnati, #1 in this category and it’s not close.

Great blend between NY and New Haven style. Christ on every bite. They know what they’re doing.
