Great sauce and crunch

Been wanting to try forever. Went in with zero expectations and damn this is a good classic slice. I’m tired of the new school spots, this is pizza to me.

3rd best slice in the neighborhood. Crispy and thin, check. $4 for a regular slice - why are mid slices so expensive now? They close early, as if we’re in Florida. Bonus points for hot sauce and special shaker of in house spices.

Good, but very filling and super greasy. Decent street pizza.

Some solid, no-bullshit slices. An Upper West Side institution and a great neighborhood spot.

Cheese has some potential but is completing run over with a tractor trailer by the sweetness of the sauce, which must have more sugar in it than a red velvet cake. Gross. Really just barely edible. Crust was ok, which brings it just to a weak 6.0. Never again, I’m good.

Very good slice. The flavor of the sauce and dough are what single-handedly carried the score. If it was SLIGHTLY less oily, doughy and cheesy and we got ourselves a good ballgame.

2nd stop on my upper west side pizza walk. Place is definitely an old school favorite of the neighborhood. Pizza was pretty average to me. Very greasy and a little overdone. Had thicker crust than a normal NY slice. Also a tad overpriced for what you’re getting.

Classic NYC slice, great crust and a little greasy.

Unreal crunch, but the amount of cheese and sweet sauce just aren’t my style. The crunch of this slice makes it great! Worth a try

If you don’t like Sal & Carmine’s, you probably just don’t like NY-style pizza. It’s a classic slice with a slightly sweeter sauce. In one word - EXCELLENT!

Large slices, tangy sweet sauce, very good ratio sauce to cheese. Very good pizza, will buy again and again. Crispy crust, slight flop, if baked 2-3 minutes more for a more well done finish, its an easy 8.4
