Salerno's Pizzeria & Sports Bar

Pretty standard tavern style. A bit more crisp would have put it in the 7’s. Maybe order it well done for better results.

Have to get the Thin crispy crust. And when you order it ‘well done’ they actually make it the way you want. Delicious!

Disregard the salad please. I reviewed the Salernos in Oak Park and gave it a 5.9. Let me tell ya, the 8.3 miles between these locations must make all the difference because this pizza was flat out better. The crust was the key difference maker here as it was in that perfect range of complementing, while not overwhelming the pizza. Only complaint may have been an excess of sauce, but that didn’t stop me from giving a high, rookie score

Really good pizza

Damn this is a fine slice of heaven and a Chicago great. Really top quality with exceptional ingredients and a sweet tangy sauce that will leave you watering at the mouth like a little school girl. My mother grew up on this shit and I love it every time I get it. Pure slice of Chicago!
