I only have a couple more weeks of working in the 814, so I have been trying to try as many pizzas around the area as possible. Today we went south towards the Mason Dixon Line, and found the only pizza place in Salisbury. The owner was a very nice lady, unfortunately the pizza she made was not as kind. I knew there would be an overload of cheese on the pizza as soon as I picked up the box. Yes, it was that heavy. I either had the option of a crispy crust or a doughy crust, so of course I went crispy. I was able to get a great crunch on every bite, but the dough itself tasted weird. I don’t even know how to describe the taste, but I have never tasted dough like that before. I kid you not, the crispy edges of the crust tasted more like stale Cheetos than pizza crust. The sauce is terrible too. I hate that I’m the first person to review this place, and I’m crapping on it, but it was just not good pizza. You country folk might like this pizza better than a city folk like myself.
