Great pie. Sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness, great crust, and a nice little Yale flop for the boys back home.

Pizza like this just doesn’t exist in Virginia. The Char, the sauce, the Motz, brings back memories of living in New York City in the 60s. I haven’t had pizza like this in a long time. Nobody makes pizza like this anymore.

Two major issues. First, they sliced the pizza so thin (small) that it was hard to hold. I was basically eating pizza strips. Also, I called ahead to place the order for a 6:30 pickup. I arrived at 6:25 and pizza was already cold. Total disappointment.

A staple of New Haven pizza! With the classic coal-fire brick oven, this pie is literally soooo good. The crisp, the taste, the cheese… everything is soo good on this pie. IMO, the bacon is better at Pepe’s, but going off the cheese slice it would be hard to compare. This is must eat pizza, fly from anywhere in the world to eat this! 9.4, that’s the review! (Bonus, the new outdoor eating area was pretty sweet. Definitely an upgrade to being crammed in the old building!)

Tangy and unbelievable sauce and cheese.good crunch, only demerit at all is some of the crust gets overly burnt and loses flavor

I think I’m beginning to understand New Haven style. This tastes way more New York to me and I’m not a big fan of the sauce.
