Flavor was good. Pie was super burnt and flaky.

So I realized Dave liked charred thin pizzas. And hes entitled to it but this particular pie is overrated. Its not bad but the hype of New Haven having the best pizza in America is an outright lie. Also, not sure who cuts their slices but they dont have any idea how to cut slices.

Good pizza but didn't live up to the hype don't know how people and Dave gave this a 9.2 but hey to each his own but overall not worth the travel

Didn’t disappoint. Tasted so fresh. Sauce stands out like it was made same day. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Very easy to split with one other person. I’m seeing why people take a bite of the front and then the crust at the back. You gotta give yourself some sauce with the end of the crust otherwise it kinda turns into eating a bunch of charred crust by itself. Very unique style.

100% as advertised. Perfect crust, sauce amazing. Online ordering is a godsend and they had handed to me at the exact minute I requested it earlier in the day. Sally’s is in my all time top 3 and worth the visit any time you’re in New Haven.

The charred crust from the hot coal oven and the perfectly balanced sauce to cheese ratio takes this pie to a whole other level. We drove all the way from Maryland, Dave and all of the staff there were some of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met. The entire experience was just as good as the pizza. Simply amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Sauce and Crust. Coal charred bits are sooo good. Dave and the staff are even better than the pie! They made us feel like family!

Delicious pizza ! Best to get it in restaurant fresh from the oven and the exactly right amount of char for my taste 👍🏻

8.1. the pizza is a little overrated. as i see dave and others put it in the 9s. i don’t like the burnt char crust and it’s just a little too thin for me. it’s like a big bar pie. it looks amazing but i need a little more dough still pretty solid overall

The crust was good, but Santillo's is better..I just thought the sauce was way too bland and the cheese was ehh.

I had this pizza yesterday, the best pizza in the world. The coal oven has a char cook to the pizza and bakes the edges very well, and the sauce is just excellent. The dough is fermented very well, leaving a sour taste as well. Absolutely magical pizza.

My first over 9.0 pizza. Best I’ve tried and it was sent frozen via gold belly. There was an almost 2 month wait list to get it but I see why. Unbelievable crust. The char makes it for sure. Crisp but great chew. Sauce and cheese great also. Might be a 10 or as close as I can imagine if I ever get there and try it in person. My new favorite for sure.

I thought getting it delivered from Goldbelly (where it’s cooked, frozen and then shipped) would make for an okay at best pizza but wow this was great. Perfect crisp, outstanding flavor on the crust and a delicious sauce. Hard to find any flaws with this pie
