Sauce and cheese phenomenal. No flop. Gotta get your order in ahead of time to beat the crowd. Favorite in New Haven.

Excellent and huge pie! Nice crisp on crust and very thin. Great tomato sauce! Bit too much char for my taste. Zero grease. Huge variation in slice sizes. Long awaited and worth the 45 mile journey from home! Said it would be ready at 5:00 pm, and it was ready just a minute prior. P.S. tell no one, but between you and me, I ate 1/3 of the pie, which was maybe 6 slices! Diet blown for sure, but don’t GAS :) (give a sXXt)

Drove 2 hours for this pizza and it did not disappoint the next day had John’s on Bleeker which I thought was very mediocre all hail the pizza king !!!!!!!

Great pep; very good sauce, but a little stingy (would recommend ordering extra); extremely large pie; crispy undercarriage yet sufficient chew on the inside; for those who like coal oven, the distinct smokey undertone is a nice compliment; meets the high bar set for this place; order well in advance!

Freaking Spectacular! The sauce, the cheese, the undercarriage! This is a MUST!

Very good, feel like char is overpowering. Tomato sauce less sweet than normal. Great color on top and bottom.

Small pie: half original, half sausage/onion. The sauce and cheese were of outstanding quality, as the crust is light. The pie was a bit floury and bubbly, which is what prevented it from being in the nine range, however I took into account that the pie was sitting out for 35 minutes prior to arrival as we were stuck in traffic. All in all, a must eat.

Tastiest sauce I’ve ever had, great sauce to cheese ratio. Tastiest sausage I’ve ever had. Amazing pizza all around. Best I’ve ever had.

Went with the Sea Hag + Pep combo and do not regret my decision. Great crunch. Crust is top notch.

Off to a great start here in New Haven, CT. First thing you notice is the crust. Outer crust is burnt, but not hard. It's like a fluffy burnt, which was amazing. Left your lips black which was kinda cool. Under crust had a slight char, but not enough to make it not a floppy slice. Sauce was BANGIN'. Might be a little light in some bites, but just an amazing tangy sauce. Cheese was a little meh. If the cheese was better, would be in the mid 9s. If it was cooked any longer to avoid flop, it would be a charcoal, so I'd say they cooked it perfectly. What a start to this trip! 👍🏼🍕😍

The thin crust and the flavor of the sauce were there best parts about this pizza, although it could use more sauce in my opinion. The char of the crust was ok, but not necessarily my favorite part. Overall this pizza was amazing and I'm glad it was my first stop while in New Haven!
