Sal's Neighborhood Pizzeria

This is a tasty slice. I would rate it higher but this pizza has major flop! Cook the bottom a little more and it would be a winner.

Pretty basic looking pie. Little on the greasy side and little flop. Could use more sauce but overall pretty solid for a southern pizza.

Pepperoni and sausage. Could have a crisper crust and more sauce. Prob still the best pizza on the island so it’s always the go to.

Solid day drinking beach pizza. Crust could use some work. Little bit floppy. Good taste.

Fine overall flavor but nothing spectacular. Dough has zero crisp. Not bad for football pizza.

Little flop. Hands down best pizza on St. Simons. Crust is fire!!

A solid average slice. The crust was too doughy. Looks like a good NY slice but comes up shy.

Above average slice for the south, coming from a New Yorker

I walked in and placed my to-go order with the waitress. I could see it was a small place so I told her I would wait outside at a table. The place started to fill up quick...30 minutes have passed and still nothing. The waitress came outside and asked if we would give up our table for a family dining in...no problem. I asked if she would check on my order. Long story short, my pizza was done and sitting on the to-go rack for a while. After a 15 minute ride home it was barley warm. As for the pizza, I’m sure it would have scored higher had it been hot.

Best NY Style pizza in the South!

Little greasy but quality sauce.

It was an ok pizza. I enjoyed the wing more. Crust wasn’t hand tossed and they put to much sauce on it.

Got it to go. Good beach pizza. Little flop, decent crunch on the crust. Sauce could be a little heavier. That’s a review.

AHHHH mazing pizza. This is one of my favorite pizza places to come to. It’s a must!! The owner is so kind, and all of the waitresses are very attentive. Pizza is the best. (Don’t listen to Sam in the previous review)

As said before Dave would roll on his grave. Hospitality is great but the pizza fell apart. It’s good but not like people’s scores here. #realpizzareview

Minimal flop, brick oven greatness!!!!

Pretty good pizza right here. Not a lot of crunch (I like a crunch). Very Light do you don’t feel like 100 pounds heavier after.

Dave would be rolling in his grave if he saw the scores given compared to the product. I get it, Sal’s the nicest guy ever but the proof is in the puddin. And this puddin just didn’t hit the mark. I’ll give it to the sauce cause yes it’s really good but everything else was greasy and hard to eat. It fell apart in my hands to boot. Let’s actually rate the pizza and not the owners.
