Sal's New York Pizzeria

In town for Steeler game. In this instance, I didn’t purposely go to this place, but came across it bar hopping. It does fit the drunk pizza or football pizza type, but it also wasn’t bad and I enjoyed it for what it was. The owner is a trip and it’s slice in the window place. Tasty crust and if toasted well, not a bad pizza at all. In fact, I’d go…..6.5.

Great crisp and texture. Closest to NY pizza that you will find in Pittsburgh.

Drunk pizza not good

Decent pizza. Crispy and thin crust. Slices are reheated, cheese and sauce is average.

Typical. Nothing special. Sauce almost non existent. Good crunch on crust. Thats about it. The sauce needs more tang/flavor. Below average NY slice.

Not saucy. But weirdly good.

If you’re looking for a standard New York drunk slice, this is it. Nothing special in the big pizza markets but for Pittsburgh, probably the closest to “New York” style the city has to offer. And that’s a win in my book.

Not the best looking slice but rather tasty good spiced sauce good pepperoni not very greasy
