Salvation Pizza

Thin, greasy and a little floppy which I don’t hate. Big, NY style slice. A lot of seasoning. Solid slice.

Nice thin crust pizza. Was very surprised how much I liked this. Came in with lower expectations because of the overall score.

Austin’s version of a bar pie- not too shabby. This sports bar sits on the outskirts of the Rainey action and would be good for game watch. However, it doesn’t hit that feel if you’re looking for a distinctive dive bar bar pie.

From the north east coast and think this pizza is kinda average but still Not bad

Super thin like a bar style pizza, but nothing else felt very New Haven. Slice was very dry, lacking sauce, cheese was also dry..crust had a nice chew to it. Overall flavor was lacking, so I wish we ordered an entire pizza as this could have been sitting for a while. Slice came with a side of ranch, what a red flag that was!

A NY inspired pizza that just slightly misses the mark, and makes it nothing to write home about. Pretty significant flop, so it could definitely use a little more crisp on the bottom to make it not so doughy. The cheese is good, but the sauce is lacking something special to make this pizza something special. It comes across as simply OK, and nothing notable other than being present on the pizza. All in all, good pizza, great atmosphere and good beer, but nothing to go telling friends about.

Pretty decent. Flavor good. Flop and not enough crisp. No new Haven style IMHO

I did add fresh garlic and pickled jalapeño....but listen, this is the best pizza in Austin. I’ve been studying Dave, I’ve been studying pizza, and I appreciate all the same in a pizza that the Prez does. I have extremely less experience....but I give this a 7.1...and insist it’s the best in Austin....Toss on 1st comes in second place

Great pizza. I had the margarita pizza. Great sauce. Great crunch. Little slippery on the cheese. Little heavy on the garlic. All in all great pie

Alright Frankie, pizza review time. “New Haven style” pizza, nice crispy crust (could be crispier tbh) good sauce and cheese, nice pepperoni and fresh basil. Pretty damn good and a great alternative if you wanna avoid crowds/long wait at HomeSlice. That’s a review.

I mean it’s Texas sooooooo let’s not all get so excited here... this is a biggie in Austin on Rainey. I mean it was edible. I was wondering what happened to the sauce tho because I didn’t find any. Cheese was ok. Pie was a little over seasoned. Dough chewy. For Texas it’ll do. 5.9 is the score

Quality ingredients mixed in and solid crust. A noticable amount of oregano. Hopes were high with this being my first "New Haven style" as the place touts. Wasn't a great radio of cheese to sauce and was really greasy. An average, good slice

Great customer service, $5 plus tax for a slice is kind of high, but okay slice and would be higher, but crust tastes plain.

Something about the sauce was different. Not bad but different.

Solid. Score may actually be higher. First bite was excellent, second etc was meh...
