Salvo’s Pizza Bar

Portnoy is right, this place screams pizza. On the thinner side with a solid crisp. A bit too oily but there’s prominent flavor.

Dave was generous with this one. It’s a fine slice of pizza but nowhere near an 8.

Little light on flavor. Not my fav

The dough leaves something to be desired. Sauce is lacking a little zest. Overall a solid a slice but not incredible. Also, guy on the phone was a dick.

Pizza review on a Monday with my boy. After doc visit. Heading to Mass Football camp later. Looks really good!!! Lets go. High hopes. Great crunch. Zero flop. Thin but not too thin. Great taste. Good pizza all around. Burn my face off. Ha

Thin with a slight crunch, sauce is a bit different, in a good way. Lots of cheese. It’s an above average slice

Nice thin crust perfectly cooked. No grease. Could have used more cheese and thicker crust.

Had pepperoni and sausage alice. Sausage slice was good but the pepperoni was great 7.9. Will be back

First time to NYC from Texas… so I don’t know what a true New York pizza is suppose to taste like. Well, my wife and I were completely satisfied when we took our first bite! It was sooooo good! So good, we didn’t want to try anywhere else for the rest of the trip! We went back for more! Next time I’m in NYC, I’ll have to try a different place, but I am so happy our first slice was Salvo’s! Delicious pizza!

A solid slice of NY pizza, the bread was fresh and perfectly heated. The crunch on the crust was good however the slice could have been more flavorful.

Little bit of flop, sauce is delicious, great crunch

The dough is soft, and the pizza isn’t very greasy. It’s a good pizza! I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest, but it’s definitely above plenty others in the area. I’m glad I tried this!
