Pizza Review
Personal Italian Sausage pizza, 12:15pm on a Thursday, like $18+ dollars I think This is a California airport pizza. It would be mocked and ridiculed back home. I cheated a bit and asked to cook it a little extra, as I saw the light cooked pies going out when I sat down and knew I had to do something to help the situation. I also went off script and got the sausage pie, because I didn’t want a no flavor, nondescript Cali pie. On the bright side, the sausage was good, nice flavorful crumbles and saved this from being a bad pizza. The dough is thin but dense and stiff, like a frozen disk that wasn’t proofed right, but they are using fresh dough, from what I can gather watching them make it. It is legit wood fired and there’s pizza makers shifting pies around the oven, so there’s applied skill here but the finished product is still California airport pizza. I’m hungry and have a 3hr layover, so it killed some time. Can’t wait to see the bill..
