Excellent pizza! Sauce the cheese ratio was on point. Flavor was great. Personally I like prefer a sauce with a little more tang, but this was quite good. The pepperoni was thin and tasty. Overall, the pizza was not too oily. Crust was great. Cozy old school pizzeria vibes. Highly recommend!

Probably the best old school NYC pizza you haven’t heard about!! Opened since the 30s originally as a coal fired oven it was converted to gas in the 40s and the original recipe is said to be the one to this day. The Cobble Hill mainstay flies under the radar as one of Brooklyns best but doesn’t seem to get the attention it deserves as immediately after sinking my teeth into the well done pie all I could think of is this is like Johns of Bleeker but from a gas oven. The cheese is eerily similar with a creamy milkyness that’s really the highlight for me combined with a sweet tangy fresh tomato sauce that melds perfectly with the well done cook. The crust as well has great flavor almost tastes like a coal fire pie but is as good a pizza as you’ll get from a gas oven and had a nicely charred undercarriage. It had a little bit of flop but still a nice crisp especially towards the back end and just the right amount of thickness to the crust front to back. This place is as old school as it gets from the cash only to the No social media and the most Brooklyn human owner Mario who pretty much one man bands the operation and was very friendly to me. This is a must try place for all the pizza lovers out there and blew away my expectations as one of the best OG spots in the city.

Great pizza. Sauce was the best part. A little tangy. Excellent crust. A little darkened underneath but the crust at the end was soft and doughy. Highly recommend. Cash only

Prez swung and missed on this pie. Very very good. Awesome sauce. Awesome crust, though a tad salty, and awesome cheese blend. Flop yes, but this flop is delicious. Pizza aside, you gotta se inside this place. Nothing changed since the 50’s. Worth $22 and change.

Owner is great, tells great stories. Atmosphere is cool, nice neighborhood spot- Pizza is big, good pie but a little on the blander side. Good crisp to the pizza.

Nice looking pie, definitely raised my expectations when I opened the box. Unfortunately, it’s not as good as it looks. The cheese is melted well and creamy but doesn’t have much flavor. The sauce is a fairly disappointing bland blend; it needs a little something to give it some zing. While the char is nice on the dough & crust, it’s not even remotely crispy. It’s a pretty decent pizza overall but add some garlic, basil and cook it a little longer and it’s got a good shot at making the 8s. Solid but room for improvement.

Now that’s a good looking pie! This is good pizza..the sauce is tangy the cheese is creamy and the crust has a nice char to it...I just wish the crust was crispier.......This is a cheese pie but I suggest trying it with roasted garlic 👌🏼.

Very old-school Italian restaurant. Very unique pizza. Thin crust cooked in an old classic brick oven. A little sloppy with good NY flop. Great cheese, sauce mix. You won’t want to throw your crust in the box, it’s incredible.

Cheesy gooey. Sauce is fine. Pizza fell apart twice. Taste is solid, but not remarkable.

Not very flavorful and greasy. Solid “football” slice but nothing special
