Pizza Review
(Unfortunately, I couldn’t snap a good pic.) Santarpio’s is an iconic Boston spot that you gotta try if your a true New Englander. The rivalry of Regina’s vs Santarpio’s has been going on since the 1930’s. And man, I think Sant’s beats out Reg’s. The atmosphere with all the boxing and Boston sports stuff on the walls. The classic rude waiters and dive bar look. The menu is clear cut, pizza and skewers. No salad, no pasta, no bs. The big loaf of bread they give alongside mouthwatering steak tips or lamb cuts makes a great appetizer. Then a hand picked selection of special pizzas that all taste great. I went with the meat lovers and wow what a great pie! The neat thing they do here is that they put the toppings on bottom and I seriously think it makes taste better. It has some major Boston flop but if you let it sit then you’ll be good. Also the crust is amazing, you can tell it’s made from a brick oven. Good crunch, not a lot of grease or dough either. This pizza is the culmination of being the best in the business for years. Truly a top pizza joint in mass.
