The Dave Portnoy pie on the left and the 1964 on the right. This has to be the best pizza I have ever had and I have had a gang of pizza. The crust is crispy and perfect. The sauce is the perfect amount of tang. The cheese is just right. Worth the trip (no matter where you are coming from).

Crust was perfect!!!!! Sauce was also great, could use a little more cheese.

This pizza tastes just like an over cooked Chucky cheese pizza no lie. - there are a lot of decent reviews but scroll through and you’ll see - a LOT of people get it right - it’s BAD!! No decent pizza place would get that kind of feedback. Lesson learned. Will read many reviews before trying. This after spending close to 100 on absolute garbage. Gotta believe these are some paid reviews man! Portnoy?? Are you ok??

Finally got to trying this out after a drop off at Newark airport. 1957 style and a regular large pie. Busy place. Damn good but maybe not quite as good as the hype….

Most overrated pizza ever. Sauce out of can. Tough chewy crust. Owner is a jerkoff

Got the ‘64 pie. Crust was brilliant, sauce was zesty. Just a bit of grease (which might’ve been the olive oil) and feels a bit chewy after a few slices. Phenomenal pie.

This is pretty good pizza, the seasoning goes good with the cheese and sauce and they aren't stingy with the amount of sauce they use. My only criticism is that the crust is very hard, there is a bit of a flop, and it does not really travel well. So when you pick it up, make sure you eat it quick. Overall I would recommend it.

The 1959 pizza was phenomenal because the sauce was incredibly tasty and I loved it so much I accidentally dropped sauce on my jacket and overall, very good spot for pizza.😋

Great taste and texture. First time here. Had to eat in the truck and it smells amazing in here even with youth hockey gear in the back. Old school pizza.

Good pizza! Nice crust, perhaps too crispy? We went the second from the highest so perhaps mid range crisp would be more up my alley. I did like the sauce and cheese. Felt it could use a little more garlic flavor and the seasoning (oregano) was slightly overwhelming. Would I eat here again? Yes, for sure! Would I make a special trip, prob not. But I am intrigued by all the variation in styles offered so maybe.

A really great pizza, cooked to crispy perfection. The sauce is very rich, so either you like or don’t. Not overly cheesy either.

Alright Al give me the Guinea. My 312 review. Well..as every says the crust is the star here! Extremely thin with the crispest crust I may have ever had. The sauce was an over powering bland taste. Bit disappointed in it. Sorry Al. The cheese was decent ..could have used a little more flavor though. No undercarriage though for being brick oven need a better crisp throughout . Get that sauce / undercarriage better Al & you’re a full point higher. Still a very good pizzaaaaaaa!

Hyped up because of the 102 year old brick oven. The crunch on the crispy undercarriage is one of the best if that’s what you are seeking. Ordered lightly golden and it was cooked perfectly with a plethora of cheese. Unfortunately the sauce was disappointing as it resembles the basil Ragu.

1964- Crispy crust. Good sauce. Tasty cheese. Love the oregano in the sauce.

Not better than Kinchley’s in Ramsey or Conte’s in Princeton but worth the drive.

Al Santillo’s pizza is awesome. Al is a awesome guy. Everything about the place is first class. I drove 7 hours for this pizza. Worth every minute of the drive. Thank you Al. You are a pizza legend.
