I’ve had Sally’s apizza, frank pepes, and modern in new haven. None of them is better than Santillo’s!!! Everything about Santillo’s pizza is better!! The crust is crisp and delicious! Cheese and sauce are the best!! Mr Santillo is a great guy! He even brought me back and take a picture with him at the oven!!

So right here we have a 64’ (left)and a 57’ (right). Personally I’m a big fan of parm but I would have to give the 1957 the nod. Got the 9 min so more on the well done side. Strong basil taste from the sauce , nice thin crust and great tasting cheese. All in all a great pie. The 1964 I’m going to give a 7.6 so the score I’m posting is for the 1957 plain slice..

It's a nice pie. Slices hold together really well. Excellent crunch and taste on the crust. That's its claim to fame. Best owner ever, hilarious

I’ve been to 13 Goat ropings, 16 sheep fucks, and a Madonna show, but I ain’t ever had a pizza like this before. Unreal. New Haven is NOT the pizza capital. Elizabeth NJ is!

Retro review 12/19. I have yet to have a better slice, literally the best pizza I have ever had. It’s well done, it’s crispy, the sauce is light; it’s everything you could ever ask for in a pizza. And to top it all off, you got Al running the show who is just an amazing guy who passionate about the craft.

Awesome pie. 2011 Margherita. Cooked perfect !! Real Brick Oven pie to die for. Take out only and cash only. He offers to use a local tavern to take the pie too. We took a pass, tavern looks about 100 years old.

Santillos is the best.... the fact that the pres gave Ralph’s pizza of Nutley a 8.9 and santillos a 8.3 is crazy santillos is way better.... this pie was a el presidente cooked to a 10... i want to eat how the pres eats.

Wow. What a pie. Medium well. Absolutely delicious and incredibly seasoned! Just the right amount of char. Probably the second best I've had in NJ.

Best crust on a pizza that I’ve ever had...you got to try his San Marzano sauce with fresh mozzarella and olives. Place is a one of a kind establishment, the owner is the man, and only he uses that legendary oven of his.

Absolutely incredible. Being from Missouri, looking up reviews, and going to Santillo’s was a phenomenal first time east-coast pizza experience. I know it’s a high score, but hey I’m from the Midwest and we don’t have anything close to this quality there.

Absolutely electric. Best pizza outside of Italy crispy as hell and sauce is perfect. Super friendly guy In there. Would be back if I wasn’t from Canada
