Savarino's Pizza

The sauce is very good, cheese is decent. Undercarriage looks great, but the texture is like cardboard. Only downside.

That’s a good looking pizza Frankie. Good undercarriage. No flop. Little doughy up front but leads to good crisp as you move up the slice. Good crisp on the crust. Good balance of herb and sweet on the sauce. Cheese blend is solid. Good solid pie all around.

Recently stopped by Savarino's and ordered a 14" cheese and sausage. The crust was good and had a rolled edge that was semi soft and ended up tasting like hot Italian bread. The sauce was very thick and loaded with oregano, black pepper and other spices. The sauce was very rich with a bit of sweetness at the back end. I picked off a few pieces of sausage and ate them separate. The sausage had a good flavor but was completely overpowered by that sauce. Your standard restaurant cheese was used at this place. I am a sauce guy so I didn't mind the power of the sauce, but I think that some people might be turned off by this. If I go back I will order more toppings to try and offset the power of the sauce.

Crust needs work, delivery guy handed me the pizza in a pizza box then asked for the box back. Very awkward transaction

Good pizza, would give higher score if there was less grease.

Another square cut, sub 7 immediate. Crust is crisp on the bottom but doughy through the top bite. Sauce reminds me of spaghetti sauce more than pizza sauce. Not bad but not the best.

Ordered regular crust, half sausage half pepperoni. Sauce is on the heavy side and tastes more like spaghetti sauce than pizza sauce. Not bad though. Dough doesn't have much flavor but the sauce makes up for it.

Great ingredients and crust. Excellent.
