Savas Brick Oven Pizza

Tasty sauce and nice crisp but the crust is a bit too thick

Pleasantly surprised by this ‘pizza by the slice’ shop that’s walkable from The Met. The spinach garlic slice was our fav. Nice “undercarriage“ and crispy yet hot and soft bite. Super garlicky and fresh spinach as well.

Bland pizza all the way around. Too doughy, not enough flavor in the sauce.

#197 review and this was a shocker. This was a damn good slice thin, crisp very good crust not sure why everyone else gave it low scores but this was a 4.9 Star slice just missing a little more punch to the sauce would have been a 9. Delicious cheese also

This is large yet crispy slice. The crust and dough are decent but the low point is the sauce, which is just lacking a strong taste. The sauce drags down this score for me unfortunately. Definitely good drunk pizza, as i probably never cared about the sauce when i was sauced getting food from here in my younger days.

-Delivery Review: Floppy. Oversized doughy crust. Undercooked pie for a brick oven offering. No crisp. School cafeteria pizza basic cheese. Sweet sauce with simple flavor. Very average.

Workin in University city today and we have a ton of pizza options. Stopped into Savas and the place was pretty busy and has a really nice seating area. I pulled the slice out of my take out bag and it was a grease explosion. The grease literally soaked through the slice which is no good. The cheese/sauce had a “different” taste to it and I don’t mean in a good way. Crust was pretty bland too.

The buffalo chicken pizza is good but there isn’t enough buffalo sauce for my liking.

I came, I bit, I did not like. Everyone knows the rules.

Crust was really good, best part of the pizza. Cheese and sauce were too similar to a frozen pizza taste...
