Pizza Review
Great presentation and hell of a slice
Pizza Review
This place seems to be a local favorite around this parts but... it’s alright. The pizza without any bias I must say is better than most but however, it’s not amazing. Before I get to the pizza though, I gotta say I’m not a big fan of the staff. And I don’t mean the waiters and waitresses or the girls that greet you at the door. I’m talking about the brothers (or at least I think they’re brothers) who seem to own the place. My problem with them is they act like they own the place... I’ll just leave it at that. I also miss my favorite boy, Antonio. Antonio was a young quiet El Salvadorian waiter who worked 6-7 days a week. I don’t care if he sucked as a worker or whatever their reason for firing him was. He was a terrific hardworking man who brought out my food like how a good waiter does. I should deduct my pizza score by 3 points just for that and maybe 2 more because of those brothers... but that wouldn’t be fair. Anyway the pizza is above average in my opinion. To start with the crust, it ain’t bad. It’s got a big flop but it’s got a good thickness to it and it’s crusty. The crust isn’t that airy but it’s also not too doughy. It’s just right. The ratio of it at the end of the slice is perfect too. They’re isn’t too much dough at the end but their isn’t to little. There wasn’t any residual flour on the crust from what I saw. Although the crust had good texture and what not, the crust still had a bland flavor. The cheese to sauce ratio was favoring the sauce in this matter. But when the sauce overpowers the cheese, the sauce better be good and in this case the sauce did its job damn fine. The sauce got good flavor and you can taste almost all the individual ingredients they put in it but I won’t list them out because I’m too scared I might get the ingredients wrong. The cheese is also a lil bit better than average. I can’t really describe the taste of cheese too well so my bad but I don’t really care. You just gotta trust me. The combo of the cheese and sauce doesn’t create that soupy thing that happens sometimes too, so good for them and me I guess. Overall, I rate them above average but the lack of character with the crust is where the deduction lies. Maybe I also subconsciously deducted more points because of the brothers and Antonio. Who knows? I don’t know so you don’t know because you can’t read my brain. In conclusion, their pizza is above average and they got a lot of other good pies here and the other food on their menu is awesome too. Just don’t piss off the brothers by breathing.
