It was alright

Sauce with a fake kick, doesn't last long on tongue, crust could do with tiny bit more dough. Cheese lower quality. Definitely a contender, but doesn't reach my 8+

Great pizza overall, just a touch too bready and cheesy for my taste. The bites that had a lot of sauce were fantastic. Also, not a great crisp… but they were very busy when we got there, so they might have been rushing the reheat of the slices.

I got the Hot Boi and the Margherita slice. The Margherita slice was absolutely phenomenal. Easily a top 3 slice that I’ve had in the city. Its crust was perfectly thing and had a beautiful crunch and was very buttery, flavorful and had a bit of a fluffy chew to it. The sauce was juicy and I just wish there was a little bit more of it. The cheese also could’ve used a little bit more flavor but now I’m just nitpicking. The hot boi however was a different story. The crust was more dry and was very noticeably cooked differently than the Margherita. The toppings itself were very flavorful but they were too much for the thin crust to handle causing it to weigh it down and be a little unpleasant to eat. The Margherita is 100 percent worth coming back for though.

The wizard of Scarr’s is what I call it. This place here is my discovery. I walked into this spot way back in 2017. A little hole in the wall in Chinatown. Had a vintage look to it. I walked in there ordered a hot slice and they gave me a giant slice. And right there I’ve been telling ppl ever since how good this pizza is. 8 years later it has one of the best reps in the city. And deservingly so. A cheesy slice, soft fluffy dough and piping hot right from the oven. No one could say anything bad about this slice. Except for one person, and that person is the pizza demon. The Pizza Demon doesn’t like that Scarr’s has a couple of fellas working behind the counter that aren’t career pizza men. The Pizza Demon didn’t like how there was only one line. But mostly the Pizza Demon didn’t like that it was a 30 dollar pie. The Pizza Demon is probably going to disagree with this score. But take it from me, Scarr’s is a top 10 pie in the city. It’s one of the greats and it’s going to be around for a long time, so get use to them there Pizza Demon.

If I was rating the cheese this would be around an 8.5 or 8.6, but the vodka slice took it to that next level. All the ingredients come together and the crust is *chefs kiss*. My favorite pizza on my NYC trip perhaps????

Had Plain, Margherita and Pepperoni. Plain was 7.7, not very well done and pretty greasy but the sauce tasted good. Margherita was an 8.4, very well done and had a heavy amount of sauce. Pepperoni a 7.9. More well done than cheese but pepperoni flavor carried

The cheese and sauce distribution was on point, with just the right ratio to create a harmonious taste. The sauce itself stood out, boasting a sweet yet soothing flavor that complemented the cheese.

Very very very thin, nice crust. cheese and sauce good. It’s an ok slice. Not bad
