Pizza Review
It does not get more overrated than this. Typical Manhattan pizza — as skimpy on ingredients as possible. Crust is flavorless flour, water, yeast. Standard NYC cardboard style. No sauce (if there was any, it cooked out, and left a tang, without any substance). Cheese is the same flavor and amount you would get with a $1 slice. There is a slight flavor difference, due to the overuse of olive oil on top. The problem is that this essentially turns the entire slice into cheese bread. It is dry, overcooked, and has no sauce to even things out. Reminds me most of thin crust Pizza Hut. If I’m in a bad mood, I might even go a little lower and compare it to reheated Chucky Cheese cheesy bread. The best metaphor I can think of is the La Croix meme. “It’s water that was shipped in a container next to some strawberries.” This is the La Croix of pizza.
