Sergio's Pizza

I will never understand why anyone would cut square slice out of a circular pie. Just make a square pizza if that’s how you wanna roll. 🤷🏻‍♂️ To each their own, but the shapes of the slices aren’t the only problem here. The dough is incredibly spongy, the kind you find with Greek pizza, also very similar to the airy Pizza Hut dough. And much like Pizza Hut, the cheese is very thick with several burnt areas. It doesn’t tear easily, almost as if they didn’t use shredded cheese. The sauce is pretty good, lots of zesty flavor but a bit too acidic and doesn’t blend well with the amount of grease dripping off the cheese. While the crust is nice and crispy, it’s a bit too hard and rubbery in areas. Sergios has a lot of really good items on their menu, but the pizza isn’t one of them. You could do better in Stamford, CT.
