Shakey's Pizza Parlor

It’s a buffet kind of place but always good in a pinch 5.1

We got a thin pepperoni at this Anaheim location. I grew up on the old Shakey’s pizzas in the 70’s and early 80’s and they started my undying love for pizza❤️. Unfortunately, the current chain is only a shell of it’s former self in the number of restaurants and the quality of their food. This pizza was average at best. The Mojo potatoes were as good as I remember though. Dissapointing unfortunately..

Everytime I’m in town, people tell me “u’ve gotta try shakey’s, u’ve gotta try this joint”. I usually don’t fuck with chains, but I had a lot of requests so I tried it. Went a little out of the ordinary with barbecue chicken. Expected a kick, got it. Pretty damn good for a chain. HOWEVER, I’ve also been told the mojo’s with the pizza in combination is what makes this place what it is. The mojo’s, very disappointing. Underperformed. Hate to do this, but a respectable score is what it’s getting SOLELY because of the pizza.

Always a 10...grew up on this pizza since I was in elementary school...never been disappointed. It’s a simple thin crust pizza that never disappoints. Fried chicken and mojos are also always a 10.
