Siena Tavern

Got some fancy pizza in downtown Chicago. The two different pizzas I’ve gotten in this city were New Haven and Neapolitan, but no deep dish to be found this time. This pizza looked really good, and I was expecting the sauce to be fantastic too. We got a big meatball as an appetizer, and the sauce it came with was delicious. I was expecting the pizza sauce to be somewhat similar, but I was wrong. The sauce on the pizza included these sundried tomatoes which made the sauce incredibly sweet. I can understand chunks of tomatoes in the sauce, but almost a whole slice of tomato made me almost cause a scene. It was cooked perfectly and the cheese was good, but the sweet sauce was my main takeaway.
