Pizza Review
Imagine the Ninja Turtles came here for a weekend and wanted a pizza that was familiar, yet has a hint of Chicago in it. That is Si-Pie. It's been a while since I've had this type of pizza, switching it up from a traditional Chicago thin crust. The crust has a very smooth bottom and cooked to a soft bite. The crust isn't extremely flimsy like NY style, but is enough to fold with the triangle cut slices. I felt like that amount of cheese and toppings was substantial; two slices and I was really full. Probably would have been fine with one had I paced myself like a normal person. These are cheesey slices with cheese that actually is stringy and stretches like all those unrealistic stock pizza photos. It definitely shined the most of the other ingredients. The sausage was just about average in taste, and the pepperoni was nice and crispy. The sauce had subtle flavors and was distributed well to marry with the other ingredients. It leaned toward the greasy realm (from the toppings side) and the cheese only side wasn't too bad, but it didn't really affect my eating experience. I ordered a full pizza and it was delivered in under 45 minutes on a Friday afternoon during a Cubs game. They also have slices for walk-in. Check them out!
