To understand my score of 6.9 let me explain I’m not a Greek style pizza fan vs Italian Apizza style. So to me all Greek style starts at 6.0 and goes from there. Southfield Pizza is my favorite Greek style pizza. This place has been here forever with great dinners too. It’s just a good pizza. Is it New Haven style, no. But you won’t ever have a bad meal here.

1 cheese slice, 1:15pm on a Thursday, $2.15 Pros: Well sauced, good tasting cheese, nice bready, crispy crust. Cooked just right. Very fresh slice for time of day and no wait time. Cons: Little bit greasy but completely within reason. Verdict: Definitely getting further from New York. This is a thick slice that can throw its weight around. It tastes good, nice fluff and crispness. Very enjoyable.

I’ve eaten this shit for 25 years. Greek style, refrigerator aged cheese, better off just not.

Crust was a little hard but the cheese was great. The cheese to sauce ratio favored the cheese a little but it was still enjoyable. I think I got a slice that had been sitting out for a while. I bet if I got a fresh one the score would be a lil higher.

Taste is good. Shape is pretty uniform. Good pizza usually has that sloppy but still circular shape. This one felt like it was out of a frozen box. But that’s just the shape of it. The pizza is above average for sure. The dough is a little thick for my liking but the crust is really good. I’m not a crust guy but this crust is fluffy-ish. Love it.
