I’m sure the food is awesome. Sausages, meatballs, pasta, ravioli... The place is so old school those dishes have to be bangin. And the place was packed. But do not come here to get pizza - IT IS NOT A PIZZA SPOT. What they do is put their homemade sauce on a pre-made or pre-bought crust. It was stale, gross, and obviously machine made days or weeks ago. Cheese was greasy. Never had stale crust before. Offensive almost.

Cheese and sauce were phenomenal. But the crust was nasty. Really heavy and dense. Difficult to chew. Also, they need to enter 2020. Get a website, a social media, online ordering, a credit card machine, literally anything that was made since the turn of the century. That plus the smoking smell (despite the no smoking sign) really messed up my experience there.

Solid pizza wouldn’t go out of my way for it. If you’re in Elizabeth I would much rather go to Santillos though.

Spirito’s Restaurants one bite everybody knows the rules, fun place to have a cozy meal delicious ravioli, pizza was nice and crispy good sauce not a lot of taste from the cheese and a bit greasy

Pizza had good flavor but something was very wrong with the dough. It somewhat tasted stale which I never experienced before. Still wasn’t bad but definitely took a hit cause of that dough

Pizza was decent but a little on the doughy side. Have had better and have had worse. The place itself was cool as hell however. I plan to go back and try something else.

Awesome pie ...been coming here for 30 years ...one of the best in NJ
