Pizza Review
This is your average neighborhood slice and takeout joint. They sell $10.99 large pies (takeout only) on Mondays and Tuesdays. And I think that's why you'd et pizza from here. Perfect serviceable pizza. Thin, paleish brown crust, that was not crispy or crunchy. However it did not flop on me. I got a slice from a fresh pie out of the oven. I liked the sauce to cheese ratio. I feel like the slice was just at the edge of what the crust could support though. Sauce is definitely a raw medium chunky sauce cooked in the oven. Lightly seasoned with salt and that's all I can detect. It's not herbaceous. The low moisture mozzerella did a bit of a cheese slide from being so hot. But again, it's not overloaded here. To me, there was a lack of salt and sharpness to this slice. I will not rate it differently. But I added parmesan and oregano to my slice. And it improved things. In it's favor though, back to the crust, the chew was moderate and not dense—I don't like crunchy, dry, cracker like tough chewy crusts. Overall though this is in the land of football or party pizza. If you wanna feed a ton of pizza for $10.99 on a Monday night, go to town on Springdale Pizza. If you want better honed pizza go to ZAZA, Sally's, Sorrento's, or Riko's and Colony for bar pies.
