Pizza Review
Ok I thought I've been to some hole-in-the-wall Mom and Pop pizza places in my years, but I'm telling you right now, Squigi's takes the cake (or pizza pie)! If someone is ahead of you paying/picking up their pizza, you almost have to wait outside until they're done. This is such a charming family owned operation that you can really see the passion as they crank out pizzas behind the counter. I ordered the Thursday 1-Topping Medium Pizza special to takeout. I got pepperoni (added sausage) and was on my way. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. It was delicious. The crust is unique here that the texture of the crust is thin, firm, and crispy to the touch, but has a chewy quality to it that I really enjoyed. A lot of the flavors from the toppings paired well with the crust in the cooking process. Juicy sausage and moderately salty pepperoni shined with the gooey cheese. Nothing was overpowering and it was just truly balanced. Sauce was not too little, not too much, and had a good consistency that you were able to taste the seasonings which were right in the middle of sweet and savory. Again, balanced. Great spot here. If you don't want to take my word for it, go check them out! (tip: they do not take Discover card)
