One of the knock out bar pies in the great state. The oil component is the best part. It’s like a snack. Could easily eat a pie to the nog. I think this could be the best pie in the state (which it was once crowned) if it had a snappier crust like kinchleys.

Great thin pizza, no complaints at all. Thin and perfectly cooked, cheese had a great taste along with the sauce.

Decently thin pie, had some flop. I don’t mind the flop because it had a ton of sauce & cheese. Pepperoni was spicy in a good way. The sauce could’ve had more tang but it was definitely good. Cheese was solid.

Disappointed by this one. The pizza was soupy and floppy. Not the crisp I was expecting. It DID have great flavor so at least there’s that. Place is definitely worth checking out though, great vibe.

Right up my alley - pie hit hard after a nice round of golf. Surprised Dave didn't rate it higher. May need a re-score!

Went on a Saturday Night. Long line, over an hour and a half wait. We were able to get a seat at the bar, so we waited like 20 mins. . Got a plain and a pepperoni. Both phenomenal. Thin, crispy…Sauce to cheese ratio was on point. Pepperoni has the cups when baked. . Super friendly staff, everyone was awesome. Staff even told us some of their favorite pizza spots to try next time we take a trip. . Great, great spot!

One of the best LOOKING pizzas I’ve ever had, but was so disappointed in how tasteless it all was. It wasn’t even bad just no unique flavor in the cheese or sauce.

Good thin pizza but has lots of flop and no crust

Good combination of cheeses and sauce makes for a unique, good taste. A little bit too greasy, especially at the end of each slice (almost wet). Solid slice.

A little more crisp on the crust and it would make it 8+. Still incredible though. Perfect cheese and sauce ratio. White clam pizza was great too.

Easily one of the best pizzas in the north Jersey area, Star was tasty and thin but lacked that perfect stiffness, or crunch of some of the similar pies that rate higher. Had the crisp towards the center of the pie been there, I can push this into the 8’s. Definitely worth checking out and also get it well done so you get the “no flop” and crisp you desire.

Knocked off a bucket list place. It was awesome I would go back. Also bought the scampi chicken wings they were incredible.

I’m generally lock in step with Dave on reviews. But I couldn’t disagree with him more on his review, and the score he gave Star. I have to say taste wise this is truly my favorite pizza. They use quality ingredients,it has a tangy sauce. A perfect cheese to sauce ratio. And delicious crust that is thin but not like a cracker. It’s a little bit floppy at times which make my score lower. But all in all it’s truly one of my favorite pizzas and when I’m in the area I grab one.

Finally made it up to Star Tavern in Orange, New Jersey for couple of very good bar pies. Super thin, tasty sauce and perfect crispy bottom crust. 8.1/10
