This like figure skating so this is as close to a 10 as I’ll get. This was a few months ago but I’ll paste my yelp review:
I must preface this review by saying I’m a long time Stella’s fan and this review is based on my experience my most recent visit there. I’ve tried lots of pizza and I’ve even been to Joes in New York (it’s considered the cream of the crop of pizza). I’ve been anticipating my trip to Stella’s from the moment I got to Connecticut. I was very skeptical that I had overestimated how good Stella’s pizza was and I was nervous I wouldn’t like it as much. Finally when the holy day came when I got to visit the establishment it was like no other. We had 20 people in our party and called 4 hours in advance. I thought for sure either the service or quality would suffer. Finally we walked in and were greeted by Cindy (I hope that’s how you spell it) and of course I told her that my review came up first on google maps (I had to brag) and we were quickly seated in the very well prepared area they had set aside for us. I got a birch beer (they don’t have that where I’m from in Florida) and I was ready for a slice of heaven. The pizza came out and from the moment I saw it I knew that I never over-exaggerated how good Stella’s was for a second. I could ramble about the pizza for days. I’m someone who usually eats 1 slice. I had 3. And the service was still phenomenal. We were constantly checked on and the waitresses that served us were truly the kind of friendly I expected from here. If you are anywhere in Connecticut this is the place to get good pizza with good family service. 9.4 still the best pizza I’ve had (and the best I ever will).
