Stella's Pizza

The pizza slice to me was good, a little floppy, could have used more crisp and the sauce could have had more herbs, table spices fixed that. I give it the 6.8. The garlic knots were outstanding, texture was perfect, loads of flavor without being too strong. I recommend you coming here just for the knots. I rate them a 9.1.

Got their Grandma slice off TooGoodToGo, among a bunch of their other slices and rolls I got. I’m a round slice guy through and through. But I’ve eaten enough Grandmas to say this is average. The crust was on the softer side in a way that it easily ripped. It wasn’t too fried and charred on the bottom. The fresh mozzarella was pretty good. It wasn’t plasticky. Fair amount of milky content and pure fairly flavor. Basil was barely perceptible. But it’s there. Sauce was chunky and straight from the can. Neutral in taste. Not acidic or naturally sweet. Just moderately salted. I also had their Ham and Pineapple slice, Lasagna, and Broccoli Rabe and Crumbled Sausage. I think that’s why you’d come here. The Broccoli Rabe is too bitter for me and doesn’t work on pizza for me. But I did like the other two slices. Though I’m not really a toppings guy. This was a 6.4.

Served perfectly hot in 2-3 minutes with a hard crisp and no Flop. The sauce is mild, flavorful, but under salted with tiny tang. The mozzarella is above average and not very oily. The dough recipe is very good and the end result is tasty, light and crunchy. With a touch more seasoning and salt this could touch the low 8.0’s. Pro Tip: the service, cleanliness and food quality are extremely good. Bonus points for the free garlic knot!

Specialty slices are amazing and the plain was pretty good too.
