A real headscratcher. Sugo Mi looks good on paper but something just doesnt add up. With minimal crisp on the crust and undercarriage plus a heavey drizzle of olive oil on top, this pizza ate more like turkish bread with a pasta sauce spread. It has its place but not in the book with the greats.

Sunday afternoon on a winters day, the best time for a pie for me. This pie lacked any great wow factor. The sauce seemed better suited for a pasta dish, perhaps a bit of laziness in the kitchen. The cheese was non existent and didn’t provide any taste. The dough was the only shining light on the day. It’s a Suno for me.

Cheese nil taste. Sauce sweet with no depth. Base ok under carriage. Friday night movie pizza.

Consistent sauce (sugo) was present within this pie which, combined with the bundled cheese being a tad runny left the mouth demanding for another bite. Sugo mi knows the rules. Standard flop is acknowledged due to the base holding no crunch, including the crust. Flour was present on the bottom of this base which contributed additional flavor. The basil contributed zilch to this ageless classic, it was mainly used for decoration and I do not envision this herb as being purposeful for this classic. One bite, everyone knows the law
