This pizza review is based on my Philly pizza tour...great pizza!!.. sauce is on the sweeter side and it was on the heavy side but still crispy even as thin as it was

Good taste with the sauce, a little crispy towards the end.

Light, crispy and sweeter/spicier sauce than most. Not a whole lot of cheese(which they express on their menu). Ate the whole pie with no issue.

Great dough! Garlicky but that’s their thing. It’s got good bones.

This is a pizza that’s thin and crispy but ultimately too garlicky for my liking.

Need to do a little better with the flavor of the cheese and the cheese to sauce ratio. Sauce was outstanding tho.

This pizza is the best I've tasted in Philadelphia!!!! Great crunch nice and thin; amazing sauce and the cheese is cooked perfectly. I definitely could eat an entire pie that's how good this pizza is.

Solid Margherita pizza! The sauce is full body flavorful. The crust has a mean crisp to it. Yes its a Margherita pizza , but you can still tell that it lives up to your authentic worth the wait bite youve been looking for in the city. The president got this joint right. Amazing!

Alright, I tried the regular pizza And the “special”.. the special is much better. Dough and crust is solid crisp, no flip... I absolutely love that. The sauce is great tasting and the flavor of the crust is solid as well. Very unique pie. 7.9 As for the regular pie, I didn’t like the sauce, way too sweet. It overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I’d give the regular a 6.8

Really great pizza. Nice well done thin crust with a very flavorful sauce. No flop and no grease. Light enough I could eat 4 pieces and didn’t feel at all stuffed. Wish I had eaten it there, probably would’ve been even better.

I think Dave was right on with this one. Sauce has a nice tang very thin nice char on the bottom, good ingredients very good pizza. If I had to knock something the crust was too burnt but overall I enjoyed it very much. 8.2 that’s a review

Another big Philly review complete! I’ve done many of the heavy hitters in the city (ie. Beddia, Angelo’s, Shackamaxon, Circles and Squares, Angelino’s) while only missing a few yet. Unsurprisingly, this one stood with the best of them! I really like the style of this pie - the cheese isn’t shredded, and the sauce is very heavy and very tasty and sweet. You can totally understand why it’s so sought after! In all honesty, it reminds me of Lazzara’s in NYC. Its super thin, super crispy, and super saucy. It’s a shame that GREAT pizza in philly is so rare that you literally need to rush to get to these places early or order your dough well ahead of time. That being said, I definitely put Tacconelli’s in my top 2 for the city thus far. This spot is cemented as a Philly “must have.”

Plain slice: Delicious thin crust slice with a very unique tasting sweet sauce. Perfect crisp and leoparding. Sauce is rich and the cheese to sauce ratio is on point. Not sure how crazy I am about the sweetness in the sauce but it’s different and still solid White slice w/ tomatoes & spinach (not pictured): Garlicky and crispy as hell. Same perfect crisp and leoparding from plain slice but w/o sweet sauce. Tomatoes were more traditional and tangy with some spice. Fantastic specialty slice. Score: 8.9

Well the saying goes ..: DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!! Better in the old days. Crisp yes, but Flat taste, Thin yes but no flavor. Good part though nice amount of pepperoni
