Tacconelli's Pizzeria

I’m really a toppings guy right now, so into the lifestyle!! Now there’s a ton of backstory about this place you can read up on your own but this spot is just as good as the original in a much larger setting and still cash only. I went with two pies, the plain and the cup n char both equally amazing. The crust has a super unique flavor and great outer char with a surprisingly large amount of airyness and a nice crisp maybe the undercarriage could’ve had a little more char but it was a stupid busy Saturday night and I live mine to just be black lol. The sauce is total standout especially on the plain pie with a nice garlicky flavor and goes well with flavor of the other ingredients and abundant in every bite, way more than the cheese and I like it that way. The cheese is sliced mozz and just the right amount, to be honest the sauce was so good you almost loose focus on the cheese and that’s not a bad thing but then there’s that delicious pepperoni. The perfect topping on an oldschool pie like this, I couldn’t get enough of it. By far this is the most pizza I’ve ever eaten in one sitting as both pies were killed and worth the two hour drive, shout out to the awesome hostess for great seating and a friendly staff. One of south Jersey’s best for sure and lives up to all the hype and the Taconelli name!!!

Very good pizza. Burned my entire mouth yet still delicious. Very thin and light. I finished an entire pie and felt like I could keep going. I also have no self control. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

Great pizza, sauce is delicious but i feel like it isn’t made fresh/onsite? If ingredients seemed fresher pizza could easily be a mid 9.

A good thin pizza. With a good flavor. Could have been cooked a few minutes more. But a good pie.

Excellent pizza! It had great flavor, crisp and no flop. Also, the restaurant had a really nice vibe and atmosphere inside.

Tomato pie homerun nice crust one of those pizzas need to eat on location. Had a few others I didnt love the white pie and special was good. Sauce is flavorful and pizza is thin and could eat a whole pie . Not as good as I expected but I think I need to try the OG in Phila.

Review100…it’s a red letter day. Score is for standard red pie. Bonus reviews below. Sauce is terrific. Overall, doesn’t knock my socks off. Very thin and I find it too crunchy. So good, but not great. Margherita better. Just blends wonderfully. It’s 8.1. Double white, no garlic, roasted red peppers, mushrooms and fresh basil. Not my thing but solid. 7.9. That’s a review.

Had a cheese and a pepperoni. Very good crust with a crispy under carriage and a nice crunch/chew on the outer crust. Negative, just a little bit to much garlic for me, I like garlic but it took away some of the tomato flavor I like to experience. I recommend.

I loved the crust. No flop thin and cooked perfectly. The sauce was disappointing for me. I wanted to get to this place for a while and was just crushed that the sauce didn’t measure up and just didn’t taste right. Still very good, but I was expecting something that would make the 8”s

For me it was just aight dawg.

Hot sausage was like a spicy first date. You go in for the kiss and she wants the ole sosij instead. Ronni just enough bite (you know what I’m saying) to make it all worth it. No flop and crispy krust but fluffy on the inside.
