This is actually from the Aberdeen location- my home turf. What I love about this pizza is that it is so very different from the asbury park pies. It’s a mean in your face detroitish pie. Yet, It’s not entirely complex and a pie one couldn’t not craft at home. It also carries a stellar crunch like the last time I bit a bird’s beak.

Doing a photo review as I was feeling lazy today. This pie is very flavorful and juicy; but has a very doughy crust. For those who need crisp, this is not the place for you. But if you like pizza for the taste and not the texture come here! My 7.6 is fair because it is delicious, but lacks the crust it needs to make it great.

Had the spicy vodka pie at Alternate Ending Beer Co. which features food from Talula’s - delicious! Every aspect of this pizza is so good.

Light, airy crust. Sauce is sweet. Ingredients taste fresh. Really good “fancy” pizza!

Bright/tangy sauce. Crust was cooked very well (nice leoparding). Sourdough for the crust, had a nice chew. Solid neopolitan. Bee sting slice (not pictured): 8.6. Really good. Honey complements the soppressata perfectly. “Rocket” slice (Gouda and arugula): 7.8 really good variation of a white pie.

Solid crust, little NY “flop”. Crust crunchy but chewy inside. BeeKeeper’s lament!

Talula’s serves wood burning neapolitan style pizza. Adding basil to a pizza prior to going in the oven gives the pizza a bitter unappealing flavor, so minus points for that. The bitterness overtook the taste of the pizza. Basil should be added after the pizza comes out of the oven (w olive oil and a nice aged grated cheese). Had higher expectations from the reviews.

Great flavor combination between the spicy soppressta and the honey. Crust is a little too chewy for my liking, but overall a very good pie.

Charred crust, lacks flavor from a brick oven style, yet still chewy. Flavor of the topping and sauce are great.
