Really good. 7.8-8.3 good? Nah! Great crust. Great cook overall. But the sauce was lacking something. I had the pepperoni as well. I’d score that one at 7.7.

Over-hyped. Very doughy and barely any cheese. Pepperoni had no flavor. Dough base was fluffy but overly fluffy. It went down medium smoothly from a digestion POV. My score started off at 7.2 and then it went down the more I had. I could honestly get that level of pizza anywhere. I’ve had better pizza at airports recently. More of an ambience type of place than a spectacular pizza joint.

My rookie score. It was great. Who am I to challenge Daves score. This is what I will use as a baseline for the rest of my pizza review career.

Awesome pizza! El Prez was right, fresh out of the oven this is phenomenal! A like bite to the sauce and pep. Great service too.

First review on the app. The app keeps deleting my photos... Had three pizzas from the Gypsy. All quite good. I've had better. Also, had them delivered and they weren't the freshest. The classic pepperoni was very good. But, I think the hot honey enhanced it which is why I did not give it an 8. Crust was not very uniform, I thought every bite wat different, crunchy, chewy, etc. Would eat again.

Had the Pepperoni, Backpacker and white pizzas. All nice and good crisp. Artisan so Dave wouldn't love it. He got his cold at Specs.

Dave really needs to comeback and actually come to the restaurant to do the review. Gypsy poet is definitely in the 8 range.

Very good, worth a bit of a drive.

Good pie. For a Texas pizza it will eat. I know what they’re trying to achieve but they fall short of New Haven. Really everything is good just nothing is great.

Great presentation, delicious pizza but a bit dry and chewy. Definitely need to have a drink on hand.

A few of the other reviewers said some things I should have listened to going in. Ask for it extra crispy, there’s no crisp otherwise I probably should have ordered the Pepperoni Madness pizza with the hot honey I went for the Margherita I think they called it (the closest to a regular cheese they sell). I didn’t get a lot of flavor from the sauce and I was a touch dry I felt. It had a very Neapolitan consistency, the char flavor in the dough was pretty good though. This was a decent pizza, possibly the best in Houston. Not a pizza city

Without the hot honey drizzle and shredded cheese it’s a solid pie somewhere in the mid-7’s. With those extras it’s borderline an 8 pizza. Def one of the best in Houston!
