Pizza Review
At first glance, it looks like a large bar pie; but at first taste, it most certainly is not. That’s not to say it’s bad, it just doesn’t have that signature bar pie crisp & taste. The crust is very much bar pie style and the overwhelming star of this pizza, with outstanding crisp & crunch combined with excellent flavor. One of the biggest quandaries of this pie is how can the crust be so crispy, yet the dough is super soft? If the dough could match the crust in crisp, you’re looking at mid-to-high 8s. A couple other issues keeping this pie in the 7s: the cheese is a little too thick for such a thin pizza and it’s producing entirely too much oil. The grease is gushing down each slice, and the flavor of the sauce is completely overmatched by it. Despite several flaws, this is still a very good pie. But if they can crisp the dough up, go a little lighter on the cheese and decrease the oil slick, this pizza has the potential to be great.
