Chickie’s is the only pizza spot that I’ll go out of my way to get their famous pan pizza. They say “fluffy not stuffy” which is exactly right. It’s almost Detroit style but unique to Chicago. It has a great mix of flavors. The sauce is a smooth blend, fresh and savory. Cheese is to the edge and caramelized for a nice crunch. The balance of saltiness and bread makes for a treat. The slices are always fresh. This is a blue collar place so you know it’s good. Everyone knows everyone. Can’t beat the atmosphere and service. Top notch. Bonus, their Italian beef is also amazing.
