I've had dollar slices in NYC better than this pizza. I also had a slice of cheese that was burnt and was so thin that it just flopped.

So, there seems to be a standard “Route 17” pizza; which consists of a thick soft crust, thin sauce, and too much cheese. The newly re-opened Pizza Shop (new management?) fits in that space, but does it a little better than their peers. With just a few more tweaks, they could really have a great pie.

Great crisp, deceivingly thin, not as much tang in the sauce as i like but great pie. Definitely best i’ve had in Hampton Roads!
