Very good Detroit-style pizza. They have Detroit, Chicago, and New York here. Very warm and comfortable restaurant.

I’m not sure what the issue is here, but this place seriously needs two separate review pages, one for their terrible thin crust pies and one for their delicious deep dish pies. Totally different levels, it’s not fair that all the low thin crust reviews are bringing the score down. To be fair the pics of the thin crust pies look like crap… THE DEEP DISH IS AMAZING THOUGH! And I will follow that up with a disclaimer: I am not from Chicago, nor have I ever been to Chicago, but I can say with certainty this is the best deep dish pizza I’ve had to date. The crust is like nothing I’ve had before, it’s like soft cornbread, but a very firm undercarriage. For such a thick heavy slice, you can actually pick it up and eat it by hand, it has structure! The girlfriend gave it a rookie score of 8.0 but she claims to have had a better deep dish pie in Chicago so I will give her that.

MUST GET DEEPDISH!! Crust is a biscuit like crust. Is crisp but soft on inside. Lots of good cheese

The star is more like space junk. Conveyor belt crust, zesty pasta sauce. Maybe the deep dish is better.

really like the thinness of crust but bot very crispy for the most part. decent cheese but needs more zip in the sauce.

Good Crust, nothing special, would come back just because it is so close and the service is really good.

The crust is a bit dry, not a true Chicago deep dish pie, I ordered an extra cheese pie because they tend to skimp on that as you can see; but it’s trendy Portland so.......what’d ya expect! It’s no bad but I certainly wouldn’t rant and rave about it. Does the job though.

Decent bar pizza, airy thin crust with a crunch but no crisp. Wouldn't come again on purpose but wouldn't turn it down.

Delicious pizza. Chicago style so a bit different but the cheese was stretchy and the crust was good.

Alright Frankie. Review Time. At the Grand Opening of The Star. A very petite 'deep dish'. Smells amazing when you open the box. The Crust is both over ambitious and yet still underwhelming. Sauce a a little Tang. The cheese is almost nonexistent. Had really been looking forward to trying this.... 6.2 that's a review. **********Bonus Review of their Chicken Wings. TINY AND FLAVORLESS... 2.3 ***** I will circle back and Try again, but for Now that's a 6.2 on the pie and 2.3 for the wings.
