The Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar

While this pizza is good, and I can see why Dave rated it highly, especially for a college-town spot, I wouldn’t have scored it in the 8s. Pizza is subjective, and everyone’s tastes are different, but this may be the least-sauced pizza I’ve ever had. That said, there are plenty of positives. The cup pepperoni was excellent, and I also tried the specialty slice of the month, a barbecue brisket pizza, which was outstanding and one of the better specialty slices I’ve had. The crust was fantastic, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. For me, the biggest issue was the lack of sauce. I’d recommend ordering extra sauce or asking for a side cup for dipping, as it really helps bring the pizza together. Overall, it’s a solid pizza but the sauce-to-crust ratio keeps it from reaching elite status in my book.
