The Upper Crust

Forgot to take a picture of the pie. The pizza was very greasy and the crust was doughy. There was a lot of cheese on the pizza and it out numbered the sauce, which didn’t help the taste. This was a mid pizza, but it was good enough that you could have a few pieces.

Fresh, crispy, little flop.

The pizza is alright, especially when you need a quick bite. However, it does have its drawbacks. The crust is practically non-existent, doughy, and overly saturated with sauce. There's an abundance of cheese, leaning heavily towards parmesan, which makes it rather salty and an acquired taste. The biggest letdown is the undercooked bottom crust. Interestingly, they have wood stove ovens, but it seems they're not using them to their full potential. My friend and I which we ate 9.3 rated pizza off this app throughout the northeast this is a 5 if I had to compare it to pizzas I’ve had.

This is my first wood fired pizza review. This place has potential to have a score in the 8's, the score is adjusted due to the fact that this pizza had large areas with no cheese on it. The dough was stretched way too thin, they need to make their dough balls bigger for the size of the pizza. The undercarriage could have been more crisp and should have been placed in a better location on the pizza stone in the oven (which wasn't recently used to bake a pizza so the stone would have been hotter) Sauce had a nice tang to it that wasn't expected. Overall a good bar pizza.

Want to like this wood fire pizza but it misses. While it has potential to be great, they lack classic selections on the menu and instead try to get too creative. While it’s not bad, it doesn’t hit my Italian fix. It’s more of an American style pizza. I don’t want a hamburger pizza or one with potato and raw onion. I want some spicy sauce with some spicy salami and kalamata olives with basil. You won’t anything beyond pepperoni here, if you’re looking for a classic pie. There’s some flop and only little grease. The pizza cooks fast and the crust is good. Not a lot of crunch but good flavor in their dough. This place appeals more to yuppies and tourists who want to feel like a “foodie”.

Pizza flavors are amazing. Fresh ingredients make the pizza even better. Would of had a higher score on flavor but it was greasier than expected.

Upper crust.. very good, great thin crust. Spicy tang sauce..

Pepperoni slice

This is my 2nd review for this place. Definitely would recommend going here. By far the best place in Gettysburg. Order the Mushroom if you get a chance. Multiple cheese, different mushrooms, and an egg to top it off. Best mushroom pizza I’ve ever had.

Wouldn’t go there every week, but the margherita was decent. Worth at least trying for sure.

Good taste, high end wood fire pizzas. Light on sauce and cheese

For being margherita pizza. I’ve been in Gettysburg for a couple days now and heard some locals ranting and raving about different pizza joints that were straight trash.. maybe I came in on a good night but the fresh mozzarella and spicy sauce won me over. Wood fired pizza you have to kinda hit it right on but the crust was just right.

Great location and atmosphere but it’s lacking sauce and flavor. Decent slice but nothing to go back for. If you want good pizza GO TO THE MARKETS IN HANOVER!

Some slices missing cheese. Extra crispy crust, very mod pizza like. Weak pizza for the price. Comparative to box pizza.

Was really excited to try this new place. Love the aesthetic of the redesign and was expecting great things. Pizza was very pretentious and very mediocre. Crust was covered in loose flour, sauce was weird, and cheese was pretty good. Disappointed.
