The Violet Stone Pizza & Sandwiches

Was okay-ish.

This is better than a 7.9 for sure. Comparable to some of the best pizza up north. No flop, tasty crust, excellent ingredients… you can tell they are detail oriented. The cheesesteak was good but not what I expected, I hear the bread is the issue for many cheesesteaks down here in FL but the bread was the best part, 10/10 for the seeded roll but the meat and cheese was just ok for me. But that’s me comparing the cheesesteak to spots in Philly, for the area I’m sure it’s top tier. I’d drive an hour or so out of the way for this spot, it’s that good overall. I’ll be back 100%

Definitely quality pizza.. Great crust, great tomato, good cheese and baked perfect..BUT for me,there was WAY too much cheese,I choked on it twice..if it had half the amount of cheese on it, I definitely would of scored it higher

🍕I tried the White Pizza, the Chorizo Pizza, and the Classic Pepperoni Pizza, all of which were perfectly cooked to a slight crisp. Each pizza was excellent, but the Chorizo stood out as my favorite. That said, the White Pizza was the best I've ever had. The Cheesesteak was also incredibly delicious, though a bit messy and didn't travel well (take note: there’s no seating, so takeout is a must). The food was served promptly, though we did arrive ahead of the rush. The staff was efficient and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. White 🍕: 8.3 Chorizo 🍕: 8.4 Pepperoni 🍕: 7.9 (Cheesesteak🧀🥩: 8.8)

Crispy crust, higher score if undercarriage in this pie were just the same. Good ratio of cheese and sauce.

Simply delicious! Came here once before but they were sold out of pizza, so we got the cheesesteak. (Best cheesesteak in Pinellas County by far btw) Had to come back to try to the pizza. So good. Cheese is absolutely amazing, dough is super tasty, crunch is perfect, and the sauce compliments it just the right amount. This is now my favorite pizza in St Pete. Will definitely be back many more times.

Been in the Tampa area a year and this was the best pizza by far. Actually, it even compares to some of the places I went to in my 30 years in Brooklyn.

Drove over to St Pete today to eat at The Violet Stone and it WAS SO WORTH IT! Delicious pizza!!! And best cheesesteak I’ve had outside of Philly. (Better than a lot I’ve had in Philly actually.) They do all their pizza’s well done. Some complaints online about it being burned. It does NOT taste burnt. Surprisingly light and crispy for how thick the crust looks. PLUS they were giving away FREE beer for Father’s Day. 100% recommend. Pizza 9/10 - we had pepperoni and mushroom. It’s like a cross between NJ and CT style pizzas. SO GOOD Cheesesteak 10/10 I got mine with onion, mushrooms and cheese whiz with Cherry Peppers. But they swear the sharp white American cheese is best. I’ll try that next time! Service 10/10 Inside 4/10 - only 7 seats total. 5 bar seats and 1 smol table w 2 seats. But they are moving to a much bigger location in the Fall.

Stopped in for a quick bite while in the area for an event. Crust was amazing, great taste throughout. Owner and crew are super friendly.

Not the same pizza as it used to be. Has to be a different pizza maker or cheese. The cheese was chewy with very little sauce. Place is extremely hot. Bar space doesn’t even fit the pizza box.

Not my usual cup of tea with the well done, but very good. If I lived here I would come here all the time.

Very well done. Our 3rd time having it. First time on the app and it’s a solid pie. A little too well done for me but the flavor is great!

This pizza has so much potential. The cheese was incredible but I felt like my pie was a bit overcooked and it needed more sauce. I like a crispy pie but the some bites were burnt. Some more sauce and less time in the oven would make put this place in the high 8’s

Light, well cooked pizza. Some pieces are too burnt to eat. Crust is salty but crisp. Cheese and sauce were very basic. Overall good pizza not soupy, but definitely not an 8 or near it. Noah gave it a 6.9 so kids probably will not appreciate it.
