Thornwood Pizza & Pasta

The Sicilian slice was excellent. On top of its enormous size, it was absolutely perfect for Sicilian pizza. The margarita slice on the left had enormous flavor and had incredible taste, but extreme levels of flop keep me from rating this slice in the 8s.

1 cheese slice, 1 BBQ chicken slice and a bottle of water, 1:30pm on a Friday, $8.45 Score is for the cheese slice. Pros: Sauce is pretty good with a decent ratio. Has been dry in other reviews but mine was all right. Cons: Not a lot of taste going on but still good. Verdict: Pretty average cheese slice, a little better today than other reviewers have felt. The BBQ slice wasn't the best, I'm not sure if it was the chicken or sauce quality I didn't love - there was plenty of each, but I'd score that one a 6.5

Served warm and in about 2 minutes. Good hard crust but the slice fell apart when I tried to fold it. Very little cheese and sauce on the slice. The sauce has a tiny tang with a strong dried oregano flavor and ZERO salt. The cheese is of decent quality at best. The dough recipe is very bland and adds very little to the slice. The slice is thicker than I’d like especially with the disproportionate cheese/sauce ratio. Even if this were free, I’d eat it but I still wouldn’t enjoy it.

This review is for the plain slice. Great crust but practically no sauce. Could have been a good one.

The score is for the regular - the square probably lower (it was drier than the Sahara in July). The real winner for the regular is the sauce - delivering a bit of punchy flavor. That said, the rest of it was greasy with poor crumb structure and an overall very mediocre flavor experience
