Tolli's Apizza

Grabbed 2 slices at noon. Place was dead and the slices were clearly not from today. Soggy undercarriage despite the color, crust was hard as rocks, sauce was dry because is was soaked into the day old dough, crust was hard as rocks like any reheated pizza would be. Really terrible to serve, obviously, day old reheated pizza.

Mario. Was a bit cold due to delivery problems. But still very good.

Good pie. Used to be better with old owners, but still fairly good. Never very hot though and always seems kind of old. On the other hand, it is very tasty.

Bravo you sons a bitches. I just pod $42 for two large pizzas and I’m not even mad about it. Highly recommend.

Been going here since I was a kid. My old man gets the manicotti which he says is bomb. Pizza is typical for the area but doesn’t stand out among the rest.

Not very good. Cheese and sauce were ok, but the dough and crust were very rubbery. Many better options in the area.

Best pizza around.

Yes, this is a leftover pizza review. Yes, the picture is not the prettiest, however, as many scholars have said, do not judge a book by its cover. Personally, I’m not sure how to rate a pizza on the conditions I was given to consume it. It came reheated, which as we all know, changes the textures of the pizza itself. But judging off the rest of the pieces, the pizza was your average pie. This is NOT a famous New Haven pizza, which is why this establishment is located in East Haven. This is NOT a true brick oven pizza, the char of the crust is almost nonexistent. No bricks specially imported from Italy, just your regular oven bricks. New Haven pizza is the epicenter of pizza, from Modern to Pepe’s, the bar is clearly set. This pie is not terrible, but it most certainly is not a true New Haven pie. Hopefully I can one day try this pizza fresh out of the oven, but for now, I leave you with this score.
