Great sauce! Good mix of cheese. Very consistent. Make it great every time. This is a high quality pizza. A must

Solid all around: crust, undercarriage, no flop, sauce/cheese ratio…and most importantly, it taste f’n great.

Already ate the cheese. Classically good pizza. Thin. Good crunch on the crust. Little too greasy for an 8

Here's what I will say. The undercarriage is top notch. 0 flop. The crust crisp is also beyond compare. The flavor in general wasn't enough to hit 8's. Certain bites near the crust were there but majority of the slice was missing that bite.

Disappointing.. The sauce was super bland the only compliment I have is that the dough was crispy. Dave might have lied on his rating just so he can make it out the Bronx safely. I get it but this was not a 8.6 pizza this is closer to a “5”

The one thing this place has going for it without a doubt is the aesthetic.. other than that the pizza lacked character, and flavor. It was cooked to perfection and crispy, but literally had no flavor from the sauce to the cheese, it was very disappointing to say the least. I can tell the locals are what keeps this place going, because the pizza is mediocre at best.

A rightfully deserved high 8s slice. Especially when Tommy is behind the counter. What’s not to like about this place

A really good slice; checks all the boxes except it lacks a little in the taste department…just something is missing

Been waiting on this one a long time. Quintessential bar pie.. thin crispy crust, nice sauce, greasy cheese. Real f’in Italian in there, not playin around. Solid, solid slice. 8.1

Crunch, cheese had great taste, thin, tangy sauce. When I ordered it I felt like I was apart of the family with the staff. Highly recommend this spot ! Only thing knocking this score would be a little more well done and too much corn meal underneath.

Best pizza in the BX and one of the best in NY. Feels like you could eat 100 slices but at the same time it’s not too light. Perfect crisp and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect as well. Sauce tasted amazing and you could tell top notch ingredients were used. The price made it all the even better

Verrrrrry good pizza… had to include the very impressive undercarriage because it was my favorite part. 8.1 on the regular, but the Sicilian was even better!! 8.3 on the Sicilian. Everything was good… sauce, cheese, ratio, crust… just very good. And an old school vibe inside which always gives me goosebumps 😂 ~ loved the place. These places are the gems I travel for…

Very good. The owner Tommy is a great guy, he gave me pointers on making my own pizzas at home. Fresh mozzarella cheese on the pie is delicious. Sauce is great. Little greasy and the pepperonis are ok kept it out of the 9s.

Another old school, hole-in-the-wall pizzeria in the Bronx that locals say is the best around, similar to the way they worship Louie & Ernie’s. The pizza here is very simple, very plain, no gimmicks, nothing fancy, no nonsense. The dough is cooked well, minimal flop, not soggy at all thanks to the corn meal undercarriage, highlighted by a delightfully crispy crust. This is top tier texture in the dough department; unfortunately, it falls a little flat on taste. This doesn’t have that distinguishing flavor that most dough made in NYC has that gives it the advantage over generic dough from other areas. This is truly a plain cheese pizza, plain being the operative word, as the other ingredients left me searching for a distinct taste. The sauce is a little low in quantity, rather light and nondescript flavor. The cheese is a generic, standard issue, boring blend. I had to throw on some garlic powder and crushed red pepper to draw out some flavor from each slice. Locals boast this is best in the Borough; but this is basic Bronx pizza at best. This is a classic matchup of texture vs taste. The texture is outstanding, low to mid 8s; but the taste leaves a lot to be desired, low 7s. By no means is this bad pizza; it’s just not travel-worthy or worth bragging about, 7.6 is a very fair score. In the Battle of the Boroughs, the Bronx needs to step its pizza game up if they wanna be able to hang with Brooklyn pies.
