The slice was floppy not a lot of crunch. I thought it was coal fired but the slices are not only the whole pies. It’s decent for what it is but it’s not my style I did t realize the one I got didn’t have sauce. Plus the guy selling the slices was kind of a dick. Not helpful. Based on the slice I got this is my score.

The most popular spot in SF, but not nearly the best pizza. Good undercarriage, but still a fair amount of flop, good tang to the sauce, greasy cheese, could do without the cornmeal (sand) crust. Try the cracker thin crust at their Capos restaurant for a pie that’s 3 points higher!

A little greasy, not New York flop but could have been crispier on the crust, good cheese, lacked sauce, came out super hot, ONE BITE, EVERYONE KNOWS THE RULES

Ordered the 4 cheese and I expected oil and lots of flop but it was still pretty good. Might try a slice of New York style cheese before I leave. Stay tuned!

Best pizza I've had in a while, was asked for puffy or thin slice and chose thin, did definitely not fit that description but good noththeless, cheese a bit rubbery.

Insane line for a reason, two hours if you want to sit down. Just go for the slice line. Delicious.

Really good slice. Good crust. Sauce is so good with a little spice

This was so dang delicious! The old world style pepperoni was absolutely beautiful. My wife the the 4 cheese rates it at a 8.9 it was literally ready in 5 minutes and was easy outside seating and a back pack full of beers didn’t disappoint! Sauce cheese and crust were perfect for my liking

Absolute grease bowl, but I love it. Crust is ever so charred to give it a little crisp

Solid 7.8. Made with the "good" peperoni. Probably even better to get a fresh pie made as opposed to a reheated slice.

Do yourself a favor and spring for the coal fired New Yorker instead of the standard cheese or pepperoni slice. It’s $31 for a large pie but 1000% worth it as this will likely be one of the best pies you’ve ever had. I skipped the ricotta but left everything else standard. The sauce is the star here, it is exquisite, and they give you quite a bit, both under and atop the cheese a la John’s of Bleecker. The garlic, oregano and pecorino romano are applied in light touches and compliment the sauce perfectly. The fennel sausage is also outstanding. Sauce and sausage are 10/10 on this. The fresh mozzarella is top notch, tastes about comparable to Grimaldi’s. The crust has a nice char and is thin with very little flop. There is a good crisp but it is still NY style/pliable and not as thin and crispy as a coal fired New Haven pie. Overall, these guys know what the hell they’re doing and put a lot of love into this pie and it shows. Stacks up very favorably with anything I’ve had in NYC (and apparently Tony’s sources some of their ingredients from there). A little more char/crisp on the crust and this would’ve been in the low 9’s for me. Their typical cheese/pepperoni slice is very good, but I’d have a hard time getting it again knowing the New Yorker is an option.

Kidding, my last review was actually for golden boy. This one's closer to a good slice.. geometrically: slice shapped, closer to thin. A step in the right direction. Sometimes, the right advice is "a little more, but a lot less", this one just needs some more, not too much less

I was here back on June 5th 2019. Started with a slice and went back and got the pie! Soaring with the gods!

Screen baked. Eh. Better than anything in southern Oregon though lol so I’ll take it.

Very good. Crust is super light and fluffy and the cheese is very good. Sauce is amazing.
