Okay, this is really basic Central PA pizza. I get it’s an institution and it’s cheap. I get it’s a New York Style, and I even get a great taste on the crust, on the pepperoni slice in the photo. Very very good crisp crust and taste. That gets a 7.5..
BUT.....what I don’t get is the one BiTe ratings for Tony’s❓everybody’s throwing out 10’s on this❓uh......nah... The two slices I had were from 2 different pies. Pepperoni slice thinner, crispy and a better tasting slice. Plain slice, well, doughy and globs of tasteless cheese. And the pep 🍕was an oh by the way throw on; then baked. Not a natural slice. Saves money I get it, but no place rated a 9.7 average on 1Bite would do that. 🤨
Lastly, majority of 9.4-10 ratings all from neighborhood peeps and all left on the same day~~~10/18/20. Seems a little 🐟🐠’y. My rating is just keeping it real. Service and friendliness a 10, for sure. But don’t drive out of your way for this.
