Good pizza, not great. Over-hyped. Tasted like a copycat NY style pizza made with dough meant for the neapolitan style. Sauce and cheese were tasty at least.

$13 lunch special is an amazing value! So good, especially for a heated up slice. We also got a Sweet Grandma - it does not get much better than that. Pricey though at $39.50, but we will get a snack and breakfast out of it.

Beautiful pie. Overhyped. I don’t care how many awards you got or about the fact that you’re in a big city. Prices are CRAZY. Wait is also insane, make sure you get a reservation or lineup on Yelp. Onto the pizza itself: flop city, toppings have low structural integrity. Cheese is falling off left right center. But, points for decent flavor, decent crisp and undercarriage was cool. Points for not being super greasy.

The best margherita slice I’ve ever had in my life. Won a contest in the town that created pizza for a reason.

This is the royal margherita one of the traditional Italian pies on the menu served with a fresh basil plant dried oregano stems and a carafe of olive oil, fluffier and lighter than most of the pies in the great American pizzerias, its fresh delicious and tangy, my favourite is still a coal fired margherita like Grimaldi’s next to the Brooklyn Bridge

Phenomenal! We ordered the Margherita and New Haven pizza. Both were excellent. I enjoyed the coal fire pizza more. The flavor of the cheese and sauce was excellent. The dough was well done and tasted very fresh. Slices were very floppy, but held together well. I have to say, if you order a pizza here, you MUST add the chili oil. It takes the flavor profile to a different level. If I included the chili oil in this review the pizza might’ve been in the 9’s. Over an amazing experience eating in the restaurant. This place is well worth the hype. Highly recommend!

Honest review from someone who’s eaten at some of the most famous pizzerias in Naples and New York. I lived in San Francisco for 10 years but never made it to Tony’s—too touristy, and the hour-plus wait? No thanks. But on a recent visit for Fleet Week (now as a tourist myself), I finally gave it a try, and WOW! The coal-fired “New Yorker” is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ended up going back three times in one weekend! The only other pizza we tried was the famous Margherita, which was very good—better than most I’ve had—but the “New Yorker” stole the show imo. The crust, the crisp, the sauce, the spice—it all came together perfectly. My son also tried the spaghetti and meatballs and said it was the best he’s ever had. The menu is huge and honestly a bit overwhelming—I wish I could have tried more! It’s definitely best to go with a large group so you can sample multiple pies. Tony’s is a must-visit!

Coal fired style pizza is better than the margarita they are famous for. Best pizza on the west coast of you know what to order. Grandma style is okay. Be careful ordering anything the menu is very large
